Global Peace

President Gerald R. Ford hand-picked Bill Laughlin take the former president's seat at table of the Interaction-Council. This organization of former heads of state convenes yearly to explore solutions to the global problems of the day.  The concept is simple: retired leaders are no longer encumbered by the constraints of their party, fundraising and intractable dogma and thus can speak more freely about issues that impact current leaders and their constituents. It was Bill's belief that if leaders can break down the barriers that separate them there is a much greater chance that our diverse cultures will follow suit and begin building bridges of understanding and cooperation that could lead to sustainable global peace.
