OUR APPROACH

OUR APPROACH

WE BELIEVE IN COLLABORATION

We believe in working with our grantees and peer foundations to find unique solutions to chronic societal problems. Along the way, we look to create a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that focuses on eliminating redundancy, maximizing resources, and scalable long-term solutions.

WE BELIEVE IN CARING

Caring for each other, our community, our country, and especially those that have not had equal opportunities to advance for whatever reason.

WE BELIEVE IN SUPPORTING ENLIGHTENED LEADERS

Enlighted leaders define success by conventional metrics BUT within a healthy, inclusive atmosphere that encourages feedback, diverse opinions, and the guts to admit that there might be a better way. They know that long-term success has value over short term gains, and they are open to partnering with other organizations for the sake of a more impactful outcome.

Our Goal

We work to create permanent solutions to long-standing problems that may ultimately eliminate the need for social assistance. We intend to do this by facilitating collaboration amongst the best and the brightest minds working together at all levels of the serving chain. Nonprofits, think-tanks, peer foundations.

Our Grantees

We feel charged with supporting those doing good. We subscribe to the belief that organizations driven by strong innovative leaders who recognize innovation and collaborative effort can result in long-term solutions to society's most vexing problems. We identify such leaders and then look for ways to provide resources and collaboration to assist them in their mission.

CONVENE - COLLABORATE - CREATE

CONVENE - COLLABORATE - CREATE

In 2019 we engaged our grantees and peered foundations in collaborative projects as part of our new Convene, Collaborate and Create campaign to find bold solutions to chronic problems. This campaign continues to focus on tapping the energy and creativity of enlightened leaders, encouraging them to minimize their organization's silos and recognize the potential of working together with other like-minded nonprofits.

As a result of this approach, we have created over 20 initiatives from coast to coast. We continue to challenge ourselves and our partners to look at themselves and their programs, recognizing their strengths should be shared and weaknesses shored up through working together. The collaborative process requires that egos be checked, teamwork encouraged, redundancies eliminated, and creativity rewarded. Not all of our initiatives have lived up to their potential, and we wouldn't expect them to. Entrepreneurial approaches require that you not fear failure; you learn from it, applying those lessons to future initiatives, and move on. Below is a link to some of the collaborative efforts we have helped facilitate.
